Even though Anika and Andrew wanted to just have a small wedding, word got out and a simple celebration turned into a major affair. It was all taken out of their hands and their job was just to attend. Andrew had a lot of family, and friends and of course everyone got involved. Both Anika and Andrew just let them. Everyone was so excited and happy and were just looking for a cause for celebration in their quiet little world.Anika was happy that they were getting married, and she wanted a traditional Chinese wedding, so she was happy. She was always the one who planned and organized everything, so it was a great relief to her to sit back and relax and enjoy the ride.

Andrew was so upset with what had happened. Anika was feeling better now, but he could not be consoled. He told Anika earnestly how much he loved her and how much his heart hurt after this occurrence. He would not be able to even go to work or leave her again, wondering if she were okay.

Anika looked at him and was a little surprised and shocked at how much this whole situation had affected him. He practically demanded that they be wed immediately. He could not stand the fact that she lived alone. He wanted her to marry him and come with him to live in his house with his family. They lived in a very nice home and she would never have to be alone like this again.

Anika started thinking about a wedding and what she would wear. White or a creamy off- white would be beautiful. But, she wasn’t sure if she wanted to live with Andrew’s family. She had always had her freedom. She told Andrew “Yes.” She would marry him of course, but the living arrangements would have to be discussed further. Maybe he could come to live in her little home and when he was working, he could have his friends or family check in on her, since he was so worried.

It seemed to appease him, but she could see in his eyes the restlessness. He wanted this situation taken care of quickly. He was so angry at himself too, since he had just assumed that Anika was out. It angered him to think he stood outside her door knocking, while she lay in bed so ill that she couldn’t even hear his knocking.

They both relaxed and finally smiled at each other. Andrew held onto Anika’s hand like he would never let her go again. They started talking about the wedding, and decided they would have a small one, just so that they could be together quickly, and then have a great reception in a few months and invite everyone!
